Great day for the u13 today. First time we have won 2 matches in a row for years. Playing into the strong wind, a stunning first half saw the boys score 3 tries in the opening 5 minutes as the Saltash lads struggled to get up to speed after the long journey. After that the game became a tighter affair with Saltash forwards coming into the game. Helston score 5 further tries with 2 key highlights. First try for Javier Gomez after an unintentional dummy run from Eddy. The second was an exquisite soft handed pass in midfield from Toby putting Arthur through an seemingly invisible hole to sprint past the full back to score. It was a bit like watching Will Greenwood feeding Jason Robinson - well a bit.
FInal score Helston 48 - 5 Saltash.
Great day enjoyed by all and played in a good sprit. Thanks to Saltash for coming so far.
